She was predeceased by : her parents, Edwin Burt and Ganell Burt; her husband Tommy C. King; her daughters, Erica King and Leah Smith; and her sister Margaret Kennedy.

She is survived by : her daughter Lynn Smith; her grandsons, Bobby Garrett and Eric Garrett; her sister Geneva Bearden; and her special loves, Mary Anglin Richardson and Reagan Richardson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
