He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Garrett and Roberta White Garrett; and his sisters, Alline Shoemake, Brenda McElduff and Wanda Woody.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Daniel and Dylan Russelburg; and his siblings, Rhonda Gail Garrett of Dahlonega, Barbara Hyatt (Charles) of South Carolina, Ricky Garrett of South Carolina, Gary Garrett (Tammy) of Dahlonega, Eddie Garrett (Brenda) of North Carolina and Johnny Garrett of Dahlonega. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home to go towards the families final expenses.
