He was predeceased by: his father Frederick G. Ruppel, Sr.; and his sister Dorothy Dale Mazzeo. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; and his children, Kim Youngpeter (Paul) and Richard Ruppel (Christy). He is also survived by three granddaughters.
