We are sad to announce that on July 1, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Henry King Jr. (Dahlonega, Georgia). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Shorty" and Connie King (Grizzle); his wife Lanell "Sam" Alyce Weatherford; his grandparents, Henry, Sarah King, Talmer and Fannie Grizzle; and his siblings, Larry King and Carlene King Kimmel.

He is survived by: his sons, Tony, David and John; his granddaughters, Alison and Rachel; his daughters, Rachel and Alison; his son-in-law Ryan Puckett; his granddaughters, Elanor and Emily; and his sister-in-law Dianne King.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to honor his memory by sharing a story with a Veteran or a loved one over a cup of coffee (two sugars, one cream). Donations may be made to American Legion Post 239 (Dahlonega) in his name.

“I`m sad. Tony and I served together in VN (66-67) with the 101st Airborne. Next we both spent a year in Fort Sill, OK. Being bachelors with shiny new cars, what a time we had. I wish we could`ve been posted together on the next assignment, but regrettably, that was not to be. A few years later, around 1973, we did manage to combine for a very enjoyable evening in Atlanta. After that, save for a few telephone conversations we lost touch and I deeply lament that. P D`Alessandro 919 630 7510”
