He is survived by: his children, Melvin Murphy (Bertha) of Dahlonega, Marty Murphy (Mary) of Dahlonega and Donna Murphy of Dahlonega; his siblings, Ida Christian, Ellen Smallwood and Leonard Thompson; and his grandchildren, Shane Murphy (Abby), Cindy Fawcett (Jason), Josh Murphy, Chris Carlisle (Glenna Ruth), Christopher Murphy (Stephanie) and Scott Poss (Shauna). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
