Judd Grizzle Obituary

Judd Grizzle, age 80, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was born on March 4, 1943, in Dahlonega, Georgia, to the late Duffy Grizzle and the late Elsie Lingerfelt Grizzle.

Judd's journey through life was marked by the love and memories he created with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Gwen (Dilliard) Norrell, Dena (Jewell) Justus, Ostena (Boyd Ray) Grizzle, Maxie (Robert) Garrett, JW Lee, and John Summerour. He was also preceded by his brothers and sisters-in-law LD (Shirley) Grizzle, Clyde (Betty) Grizzle, and Fred Grizzle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cunnie Grizzle; stepchildren Billy Grizzle and Trina (Troy) Vandiver; sisters Mae Lee and Blonnie Summerour; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Clinton and Marie Waters. Judd is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Judd's life was characterized by his dedication as a long-haul truck driver. He started on this journey at the young age of 15, driving his first 18-wheeler. While he found joy in the open road, his heart always longed for the warmth of family and the comforts of home. Family was very important to Judd, and he eagerly anticipated his time off the road to savor the precious moments with those he held dear.

Judd had a deep love for the Lord. In his last days, he found peace in the thought of reuniting with his parents, brothers, sisters, and friends in the embrace of heaven.
