Martha Chafin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Chafin of Dahlonega, Georgia, born in Mableton, Georgia, who passed away on March 17, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Jordan and Nellie White Jordan; her husband Earle Winfred Chafin Sr. of Atlanta, GA.; her siblings, Roy Jordan (Jane) and Berta Martin (Allen); her son Terry Chafin; her son-in-law Danny Powell; her great grandchild Lily Powell; and her grandson-in-law Kelvin Pittman.

She is survived by: her sister Berta Marie Jordan; her brother-in-law Allen Martin; her children, Winfred Chafin (Andrea) and Debra Knight (David); her daughter-in-law Sonja Chafin; and her grandchildren, Casey Brown (Gary), Jeff Craig (Jessica), Timothy Powell (Jennifer), Katie Grimes (Alan), Windy Croft (Tommy), Teri Pittman, Kerie Brewer (Tyler), Megan Boschert (Ryan) and Jesse Chafin. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dahlonega Baptist Church VBS refreshment fund in memory of Ann Chafin.
