He was predeceased by: his father Ernest F. Wimpy; his grandparents, Roy, Pearl Anderson Pruitt, Wiley and Ada Anderson Wimpy; and his brothers, Roy Wimpy, Henley Wimpy, Carl Wimpy and Jackie Wimpy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Loy James "Bud" Wimpy, Allen Wimpy (Elaine), Griffin, Marjorie Mason, Jeffrey Wimpy (Tracey) and Wiley Wimpy (Hazel). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Cavenders Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Clark Anderson P.O. Box 549 Dahlonega, GA 30533.
