He is survived by: his father David Orville Rice, Sr.; his wife Allison Rice; his daughter Gracelyn Rice; his brothers, David Orville Rice, Jr. of Hickory and Paul Andrew Rice of Arizona; and his brothers-in-law, Michael Bagwell (Mallory) and Casey Tillman (Cristy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was part of the Covid-19 rapid response team in New York City.
