He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Negley and Goldie Negley (Jackson); his brother James; and his brother-in-law Russ. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Debra (Tommy), Pam (Michael), Bill, Karen (Murrayville) and Bob (Clermont); his grandchildren, Heather Burnett (Hollis), Melissa Underwood (Phillip), Mathew Parker, Gabriel Snell (Rachel), Jessica Schwartz (Stephen), Kendra Jacob Foster (Sherwood), Steven Negley (Amanda), Taylor, Cooper Wilson, Casey (Tori) and Carson Negley; his daughter Stephanie Richardson; and his great grandchildren, Clay, Lathan Burnett, Jamesleigh Parker, Maggie Underwood, Ethan, Skyla Schwartz, Caleb Snell, William "Liam" Negley, Sophia Foster, Jaxon Parker, Malkah Schwartz, Luke Snell and Jackson Foster.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to University of North Georgia or Dahlonega United Methodist Church.
