She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Ottis "Ott" Rary, Jr. and Vivian Elizabeth "Betty" Estes; and her sister Beth Thompson. She is survived by: her daughter Shelley Colleen Capps; her brother Stephen; and her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Rary and Tommy Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and other extended family.
