He was predeceased by: his wife Bonita Swope. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Thomas (DJ) of Burnsville and Rick Swope (Dani) of Dahlonega, Georgia.; his siblings, Dick Swope (JoAnn) of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Nellie Vells (Pieter) of South Bend, Indiana.; his sisters-in-law, Sharree Kottraba of Parkville, Maryland, Marian Swope of Plainwell, Michigan and Marilyn Swope of Winter Park, Florida.; and his grandchildren, Caleb Swope (Makayla) of Gainesville, Georgia, Tori Swope of Lawrenceville, Georgia and D'Ann Seawright (Bentley) of Columbus, Georgia..
