He is survived by: his wife Marti Rakestraw Freeman; his children, April Brumelow (Matt) and Alan "AJ" Freeman; his grandchildren, Jett and Knox Brumelow; his siblings, Mark Freeman (Mary) and Angie Thomas (Allen); and his brother-in-law Todd Rakestraw (Paul).
