He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jewell Franklin and Beverly Jean Brooks; his daughter Chrystal Hix; his brothers, Larry Franklin and Tommy Franklin; his grandson Andruw Franklin; and his sister Debbie Pirkle.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Presnell; his children, Kimberly Boatright (Michael Cosby), Hillary Holden (Justin), Ivy Hix, Paris Hix and Jason Franklin of Dallas; his siblings, Beverly Lariscy, Rogena Summerour of Villa Rica, Cynthia Franklin of Tallapoosa and Darrell Franklin (Kelly) of Waco; his grandchildren, D. J. Boatright (Brianna Pitts), Jesse Boatright (Lauren Scroggins), Matthew, Stephanie Franklin, Hannah Franklin (Christopher Holmes), Emily Benson (Hunter Barlow), Aly Franklin, Bryson Franklin, Jason Franklin, Jr. and Justin Tate (Ashley Tate); his great grandchildren, Briana, Andrew, Roman, Ethan, Willa, Oliver, Abrianna, Brantley, Adaline, Madison, Greyson, Ava and Jaxton; and his stepsisters, Tonya Clifford and Tammy Hall (George). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
