He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Monroe Mashburn (Josie Mazie Davenport) and Josie Mazie Davenport Mashburn; his son Ellard Gregory Mashburn; his great grandchild Justin Amos; and his siblings, John Mashburn, Bill Mashburn, Charles Mashburn, Sr., Clarence Mashburn, Joel Mashburn and Joyce Mashburn.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Crowe Mashburn; his children, Cheryl Ann Lones, Mirenda Skelton (Scott), Leindy Godfrey (Chuck) and Larry Barge (Katie E. Cross); his grandchildren, Misty Windom Cozino (Chance), Jennifer McCoy (Shane), Brandon Mashburn (Jamie), Tyeler Skelton (Catelyn), Alexis DeThomas (Matt), Chander Skelton, Caeden Skelton, Lucy Brooks (Hunter), Charlie Godfrey, Lily Godfrey and Jeanelen Hipple; his great grandchildren, Emily Denney, Ivy Denney, Audrey Toone, Jacob Windom, Harleigh Mashburn, Cason Skelton, Jackson DeThomas and Liddie Marie Fullerton; and his brothers, Mark Mashburn (Helen) and Ben Mashburn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home (309 Hardee St, Dallas, GA 30132). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM. The lying in state will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church (6980 Cutcane Rd, Mineral Bluff, GA 30559).
