She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy D. Cole; and her children, Phillip Bowen, Kim Cole, Scott Cole and Kirk Cole.

She is survived by: her son Kent; her daughter-in-law Crysty Cole of Dallas; her son Dean; her daughter-in-law Karen Cole of Dahlonega; her grandchildren, Jake, Travis, Kory, Kira, Shandi, Phillip, Kelsey and Cassidy; and her siblings, Jan Buckner, Gene Head and Jimmy Head. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Evelyn's honor.
