He was predeceased by: his parents, John Young Turner and Tessie Lee Cochran Turner; his daughter Dawn Turner Powers; and his siblings, Hubert Turner, J. L. Turner, Elbert Turner, Irene Bell, Vera Roberson, Myrtle Evans, Mildred Womack, Evelyn Biddy and Dorothy Rattaree.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lucille Hatten Turner; his children, Sonya Gaye Turner, Micah Lydell Turner, Tessa Turner Davis and Damon Young Turner (Julie Ann); his son-in-law Jerry Byron Powers, Jr.; his grandchildren, Logan Powers, Meaca Reed, Caleb Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Forrest Turner, Savanna Turner, Paden Vaughan, Gavin Vaughan, Lily Pelow, Brynlee Davis, Reese Turner and Rhett Turner; and his sister-in-law Gertie Turner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
