She is survived by: her husband Marvin Burt; her daughters, Naija Burt Owens (Darrell) and Nia Lawton (Josiah); her grandchildren, Maikela Benjamin, Tamia Harris, Asjha Kennedy, Mystiq Kennedy and Jayla Owens; and her siblings, Tela Pitt and Donnell Hansom. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
