He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Brown, Sr. and Naomi Spann Brown; his wife Shirley Brown-Brown; and his siblings, Steve Ellis (Mary Ann), Teat Brown, Cora Brown, Celina "Dottie" Mosley, Nora "Bubba" Burns, Johnny Brown, Amelia Brown-Parker and Eugene Brown (Owana).

He is survived by: his children, Myles Brown, Lenny Brown and Justin Brown (Juanita); and his siblings, Clyde Brown (Debbie) of Yonkers, NY, Ruth Brown of Pelham, NY and Thelma Brown Hope (Jasper) of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
