Joe Wright Strickland Obituary

We announce the death of Joe Wright Strickland of Dallas, Georgia, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Joe will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Strickland (Lila Boyd) and Lila Boyd Strickland; his wife Sylvia Strickland; his son Kirk Strickland; and his siblings, Alwayne Shipp, Milton Strickland and Howell Strickland.

He is survived by: his daughter Kara Holt (David); his daughter-in-law Kristi Myers (Steve); his grandchildren, Jess Holt, Brett Strickland (Heather), Jennifer Pierce (Layne) and Mackenzie Ferguson (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Dylan Strickland, Kolbi Garner, Huxley Ferguson, Thea Ferguson, Kinley Pierce, Emmilynn Pierce, Stetson Pierce, McKynlei Brandt, Emily Brandt, Lauren Brandt, Everly Brandt and Ryker Brandt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
