He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Wagnon and Susie Mae Bishop Wagnon; his wife Carolyn Green Wagnon; his son Garrison Wagnon; and his brother-in-law Larry Whitener.

He is survived by: his son Terry L. Wagnon; his grandchildren, Alec Wagnon (Sasha) and Sarah Grace Broome (Zach); his great grandchildren, Whitley, Ellie Wagnon, Bennett Broome, Ansley Gentry and Owen Hight; his sister Genevia Whitener; and his caregivers, Marilyn Dawson, Jeri Bryant, Sandra Johnson, Krisie Cummings, Brandy Rittenhouse, Greta Campbell, Latisha Thomas, Gail Barton, Tabitha Cross and Josh Palomin.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Dalton (2215 Maddox Chapel Rd NE, Dalton, GA 30721).
