Barbara A. Shields Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara A. Shields of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on June 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace H. Shields; her son Keith Goforth; her parents, Robert Frank (Sue Myers Carney) and Jean Pirtle (George B. Tyner); and her brothers-in-law, Ronnie Boyd and Ed Dunn.
She is survived by: her sisters, Linda Boyd, Jane Dunn of Dalton, GA and Debbie Rogers of Calhoun, GA; her granddaughter Natasha Sheree (Anthony Jackson); and her great grandchildren, Dayton Quarles and Summer Webb. She is also survived by five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, 1210 Veterans Dr., Dalton, GA, 30721, in Barbara's honor.
