He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy; his son Dale; his parents, Bud Skidmore and Carolyn Skidmore; his in-laws, Carroll and Bonnie Roach; his sister Tammy Rogers; and his brother-in-law Jimmy Axley.
He is survived by: his son David Skidmore Jr.; his grandchildren, Austin Skidmore (Darcy), Audrey Bassett (Nick) and Autumn Skidmore; his great grandchildren, Sophie and Holly Skidmore; and his siblings, Randy Skidmore (Sheila) and Renae Axley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
