It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborah Johnson of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John MacWhinnie and Charlene Reese MacWhinnie; her husband William Earl Johnson; and her brothers, Patrick and Scott MacWhinnie.
She is survived by: her daughter Heather; her son-in-law Steven Mahaffey of Ringgold, GA; her siblings, John, Mark, Bruce MacWhinnie, Kathleen Thompson, Cindy Tift Billijoe MacWhinnie and Sharon MacWhinnie; and her grandchildren, Eleanor Mahaffey and Pierce Mahaffey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
