She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Thomas and Ellen Thomas; her husband Omar Stringfield; the father of her children Ernest Rich Sr.; her children, Ernest Rich Jr., Shirley Lynn Rich and Rena Jones; and her siblings, Ogalee Smith, Henry and Silas Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Ford, Rose Todd, Cheryl Williams, Annetta Stringfield and Dottie Stringfield. She is also survived by many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
