With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Warnix Sr. of Dalton, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Warnix and Doris Warnix; his son Terry Warnix; and his siblings, James C. Warnix, John E. Warnix, Savannah'Nellie'Warnix, Margaret Manis and Doris E. Stancill.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Warnix; his sons, Tony (Michelle Warnix), Gary Jr. (Traci Warnix) and Shannon Warnix; his brothers, Jerry (Janette Warnix) and Lenn (Martha Warnix); his grandchildren, Jake Warnix, Bryson Warnix, Jenna Hubbard (Warnix), Tyler Warnix, Trevor Warnix, Peyton McCurdy (Warnix), Kensli Warnix and Bailey Warnix; and his great grandchildren, Annistyn Warnix, Skylar Warnix, Karagan Warnix, Sutton Warnix, Maverick Warnix and Dansby Hubbard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
