He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rittenhouse and Mary Austin Rittenhouse; his former wife Glennie Ruth Rittenhouse; his daughter-in-law Kathy Rittenhouse; and his siblings, Howard, Frank Rittenhouse and Laura Bell Tatum.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Green Rittenhouse of Dalton, GA; his children, William Rittenhouse of Dalton, GA and Sharon Rittenhouse of Chatsworth, GA; his stepchildren, Diane, Tim Lawson of Cohutta, GA, Kathy, Steve Reed of Dalton, GA, Melissa, Anthony Headrick of Crandall, GA and Donna Gillespie of Cohutta, GA.; his brother Paul Rittenhouse of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; and his sister-in-law Jerri Rittenhouse of Varnell, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
