He was predeceased by: his parents, Auther Montgomery Smith and Earlie Estell "Cook" Smith; his wife Mary Ann "Hardin" Smith; his son Clint Williams Smith; his brothers-in-law, Paul Patterson, Billy Guess, Bill Gentry and Tommy Holsomback; and his sisters, Mae Gentry, Birdie Holsomback and Carla Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Smith (Cyndi) and Kristie Smith; his sisters, Ruby Patterson and Christine Guess; his grandchildren, Riley Jorden and Stephanie Jeffers (Gary); and his great grandchildren, Aidan Williams and Logan Jeffers. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
