She was predeceased by: her husband Cliff Barton; her parents, Eugene Burgess and Grace "Carter" Burgess; her daughter Deborah Brown; and her sister Wanda Moore.

She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Burgess "Elaine", Wylene Crow and Helen Crowder; her granddaughters, Traci Brock and Nicole Brown; and her great grandchildren, Ciara Schropshire, Kieran Schropshire and Tatyana Brown.
