He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clifford Barnette and Ruby Jo Rickett Barnette; his wife Virginia Short Barnette; and his brothers, Ricky Barnette, Sam Barnette and Larry Barnette.
He is survived by: his sons, Levi Clifford Barnette (Shana Smith) and Devon Roy Barnette; his sister Linda Chastain; his grandchildren, Conner Orion Barnette, Levi Charles Barnette and Shawn A. Barnette; and his great grandchild Kian Barnette.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701).
