He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan Fitzgerald "Rambo" Smith; his father Joe Spencer Burse, III; and his sister Joann Burse Lumpkin. He is survived by: his children, Brandy Michelle Burse and Josh Fitzgerald Burse; his grandchildren, Kamari Burse, Jayveon Burse, Alex Quinones, Noah Quinones, Nyla Quinones, Kyli Burse, Kamaria Burse, Kysan Burse, Cade Mascote and Janae Griffin; his mother Anna Lee Manning Burse; his siblings, Allan Steele (Dale), Bevearly Burse (Angie), Veronica Rena Burse, Michael Burse (Stephanie) and Miraum Makeba Burse; and his aunt Hazel Hunter (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
