She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Whaley and Hattie Whaley; her siblings, Everette (Ginger) and Elizabeth; her close friends, Jean Ford, Betty Abbott and Ruby Kendrix; her sister Hazel; and her brother-in-law Gene Poe.
She is survived by: her children, Jo Ann Edgeman (Johnny), Debbie Bandy (Terry), Carol Pierce (Scott), Lee Whaley (Annette), Linda Gerstenberger and Ann Wilson. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews that she loved as if they were her own grandchildren.; and many special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2627 Chattanooga Rd, Rocky Face, GA 30740). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
