He is survived by: his son Jamie (Nichole Franks); his grandchildren, Sawyer Franks of Dalton, Georgia and Jude Franks of Dalton, Georgia; his close friend Carla Hix of Chatsworth, Georgia; his siblings, Judy (Rick Davenport), Rachael Gallman (Paul Parker) and Reed (Janet Franks); his friend Lamar; Stephen Walker of Burlingame, Lauren and Mike Roper of Cornelius. He is also survived by his family, and was a true friend.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel (138 Melrose Dr, Dalton, GA 30721).
