He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Rous and George Rous. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sullivan Rous; his children, Dee Dee Rous Bryan (Larry) and Jeff Rous (Essie); his brother David Rous (Carolyn); his nephew Dustin Rous; and his grandchildren, Chandler Pemberton (David), Conner Pera (Courtney), Robert Pendino (Jess) and Jeffrey Rous (Sydney). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
