She was predeceased by: her husband George Ernest Perkins Sr.; her parents, Dan McClure and Bertha "Boots" McClure; and her parents-in-law, Grady, Sr. and Daisy Wofford Perkins.

She is survived by: her daughter Melanie; her son-in-law William Penson of Chatsworth; her son Ernie; her daughter-in-law Angela Perkins of Dallas; her siblings-in-law, Doris Allen of Lyerly, Georgia and Paul West II of Acworth; her sisters, Margaret Pierce and Danette Mullinax; her sister-in-law Barbara Parker Perkins; her grandchildren, Brent Miller, Holly Planer, George Ernest Perkins, III, Clayton Penson, Megan Moss and Kristen Casey; and her close friend Joy Blea. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
