He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Amanda Johnson; and his siblings, Edith Alderman, Harold Alderman and Ann Neely. He is survived by: his father Paul Dewey Alderman; his wife Judy Bryant Alderman; his children, Paul (Alicia Alderman), Mandy White and Sallie (George Jones); his grandchildren, William, Courtney (Addison), Osborne, Kathleen, Amanda and Mary Jones; and his sibling's children, Alesa (Greg Klein) of North Carolina, Ed (Gail Neely) of North Carolina and Alan (Pam Neely) of North Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Dalton (101 S Selvidge St, Dalton, GA 30720). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

He was a founding board member of the Prater's Mill Foundation, Inc., and a member of Dalton's First Presbyterian Church.
