He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Parson and Mildred Parson; his brother Wilson "Buddy" Parson; his grandparents, Lon, Reecie Parson, Elmer and Carrie Lou Manley; his parents-in-law, James and Elsie Smith; and his brother-in-law Neil Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Parson; his children, Julie Roach (Danny), Steve Parson (Sabrina) and Chris Parson; his grandchildren, Stephanie Hall (Brandon), Andrew Whyte, Conner Parson, Devon Parson, Tucker Roach (Rachel) and Haley Jones (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Chloe Hall, Harley Hall, Sylas, Waylon Jones, Caroline and Gunner Roach; his sister Peggi Johns (Michael); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Stuman (John), Jimmy Smith, Kim Theis (Joel), Brenda Sanford and Richard Saunders (Paula). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dalton Funeral Home (620 S Glenwood Ave, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
