Sarah McCurdy Obituary
We announce the death of Sarah McCurdy of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Sarah will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Ora; her grandson Gregory Duane McCurdy; her brother Lloyd; and her sister-in-law Irene Hill. She is survived by: her husband Clifford McCurdy; her children, Gary McCurdy, Greg (Elaina McCurdy) and Melinda McCurdy Ault; her sisters, Ruby Patterson and Theresa (Jerry Shook); her grandchildren, Haden McCurdy (Marisa), Gage McCurdy, Misti Cloer (Shane), Allison Ault and Aaron Ault; and her great grandchildren, Hunter, McKinley Cloer and Kennedy McCurdy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Julian Peeples Pleasant Grove Chapel (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church's "Friends to Others" Sunday School Class or The American Renal Association.
