She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Slate and Benny Slate; and her former husband Johnny "J. C." Richards. She is survived by: her husband William Charles "Bill" Eaton of Rock Springs, GA; her daughters, Angie Douglas (Bret) of Rossville, GA, Kathy (Scott Hammock), Traci Lewallen (Eric) of Dalton, GA and Kris York (Jeff) of Clarkston, MO; her grandchildren, Felicia Bowers, Heather Stagg, Jonathan Douglas, Tiffany Lewallen, Sarah Sprayberry, Kaitlyn Payne, Matthew Hammock and Justin Bennett; her siblings, Ann Mathis (Bennie Ellis) of Royston, GA and Gary Slate of Conyers, GA; and her pet Angel. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ponders Melrose Chapel (138 Melrose Dr, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
