He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ward Cowan and Bertha Viola Smith Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Dale Lamb; his children, Robert Mason Cowan (Valerie) and Julianna Kathryn Butler (Lee Alan); his grandchildren, Avery Lane Cowan, Paxton Reese Cowan, Abigail Paige Cowan, Steven Henry DiGanci (Patience), Kayte Gail DiGanci and Anna Grace Butler; his great grandchild Warren Jay DiGanci; and his sister Teena Weitze (Charles).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Love Funeral Home (1402 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (623 S Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720).
