He was predeceased by: his mother Lula; his daughter Leisa Hicks Kyle; and his siblings, Johnny Hicks, Charlie Ingle Jr. and Ann Maddron.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Gowens Hicks; his children, David Hicks (Penny) of Dalton and Sherry Hicks Bevans (Lin) of Calhoun; his siblings, David Ingle (Jennifer) of Rossville, Teresa Reeves (Bobby) of Fairmount, Flora Smith (Jeff) of Tunnel Hill, Minnie Davis of Chatsworth and Lynn Hefner (Ira) of Cohutta; and his grandchildren, Ricky Green, Randall Green, Savannah Flowers, Landon Hicks, Rachel Blake and Andrew Price. He is also survived by several great‑grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
