He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Robert "Bob" Franklin and Bonnie Phillips; wives: Ella Mae Langley Phillips (first wife) and Jean Mosley Phillips (wife); brothers: Jack Phillips, Don Phillips, and Pat Phillips; daughters: Sheila Mullins (Woody) and Shelley Hopkins (Greg); step-son: Lamar Mosley; step-daughter-in-law: Kim Mosley; granddaughters: Allie Pierce (Dylan), Langley Moreland (Paul), Analeigh Kranzlein (Chase), McKinley Lutsky (Tim), and Emery Hamilton; step-grandsons: Curt Mosley (Ashley) and Corey Mosley (Jessica); great-grandchildren: Warren, Roman, Vivian, Ella Joy, Lucy, Violet, Luke, Remy, Zayda, and Jackson; step-great-grandchildren: Case, Clara, Millie, and Maggie Mosley; sisters-in-law: Susie Phillips and Ann Boston; caregiver: Ed McClure; pastors: Bruce Beach and Randy Vaughn; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
