He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayo Bartley and Lorene Bartley; his son Terry Bartley; and his siblings, Charles Bartley, Brenda Caywood, Maggie Frady and Mary Nell Brindle.

He is survived by: his family Lord; his wife Shelby Bartley; his daughters, Renee Ballew (Randy) of Chatsworth and April Bartley of Rocky Face; his siblings, Edith Walker (Oscar) of Dalton, Rhonda Baker of Rocky Face and Grady Bartley (Loretta) of Dalton; his brother-in-law Frank Caywood of Florida; his grandchildren, Mitchell Ballew, Tyler Ballew, Samantha Agan (Logan) and Xalista Everett; his great grandchildren, Waylon and Ridge Agan; and his grandchild Lamar Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
