He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Gardner and Kathleen Gardner; his brother Milton Gardner, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Charles S. Williams and Diana Bryan Hoopes.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Bryan Gardner; his daughter Gina; his son-in-law Jeff Davis of Dalton; his son Bryan; his daughter-in-law Ashley Gardner of Fayetteville; his grandsons, Dylan, Drew Davis of Dalton, Jaxon and Sawyer Gardner of Fayetteville; his sisters, Wilma (Melvin Kinslow) and Dot (Bill Jordan); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Gardner of Thomasville and Al Hoopes of Canton, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dalton First Baptist Church (311 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
