With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alyce Margaret Haddock of Damascus, Georgia, born in Bainbridge, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Smith "Buster" Porter and Alice Carter Porter; her brother Corporal Carter S. Porter; and her husband William Henry "Hal" Haddock, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Porter Haddock Gray (George) of Blakely, GA; her siblings, George Porter (Sue) of Cochran, GA and Phoebe Dorough of Lexington, KY; her caregiver Maria Hanks; her great grandchildren, Oakley Brynn Warren and Teagan Rowe Warren; her stepgrandchildren, Lee Eppley (Jenna) of Dawson, GA, Danielle Dowdy of Leesburg, GA, Katie Knowles (Trevor) of Freeport, FL and Allen Gray (Lindsay) of Blakely, GA; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Paxton Eppley, London Eppley, Haddock Ann Dowdy, Nora Betts Knowles, Lucy Knowles, George Gray IV and Philip Gray.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home (21802 Lucile Rd, Blakely, GA 39823). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Lawn Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest Georgia Academy or Georgia Hospice Care of Bainbridge, Georgia.
