He was predeceased by: his former wife Evelyn Virginia Morelle Scoggins; his daughter Carlene Peavy; his granddaughter Valerie Schroder; his parents, William Doser Scoggins and Glene Robinson Scoggins; and his siblings, Bille Lois "Peggy" Conyer, Eva Louise Nolan and Thomas "Eddie" Scoggins.
He is survived by: his daughter Holly Scoggins (Joel Shuman); his wife Betty Wansley; his children, Wesley Wansley (Beth), Benet Wansley Berryman (Kane) and Jeff Wansley (Jacquie); his grandchildren, Andrea Gill and Jon Jenkins; his sibling's children, Erik Conyers (Michelle), Pam Stopczynski and Jena Kirkman; and his family Weaverville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (963 GA-98, Danielsville, GA 30633). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Danielsville United Methodist Church (295 General Daniels Ave N, Danielsville, GA 30633).
