He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Armstrong, Sr. and Catherine Buckley Armstrong; his sons, Charles West and Herbert West; and his siblings, Nora Lee McDonald, Deacon Eddie Armstrong, Deacon Adolphus Armstrong, Deacon John Henry Armstrong, Deacon Jerry Lee Armstrong and Deacon David Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Alston (Robert) of Sweeny, TX, Anthony Jones (Christine) of Barstow, CA and Eric Armstrong (Sonya Hamilton) of Darien, GA; his grandchildren, Robert Alston, Jr., Sharita Alston, Tramaine Alston, Anthony Jones, Jr., Deodric McIver, Ciera West and Amira Armstrong; his siblings, Joseph Armstrong (Georgetta) of San Antonio, TX, Thomas Armstrong (Rosetta) of Bolden Community, Ida Mae Vaden of San Antonio, TX and Doretha Priester of Syracuse, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Wallace McDonald of Townsend and Mary Armstrong of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
