She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil Lee Scott; her son Robert "Tad" Thomas Poppell, Jr.; and her siblings, Virginia, Vernon and Johnny.

She is survived by: her sons, Jeffery Poppell (Kathy) and Chris Scott (Angela); and her grandchildren, Travis, Brooke, Paige, Alex, Johnathan, Blake and Haley. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
