He was predeceased by : his parents, William Eugene Sykes, Sr. and Bernice Sykes; his former life partner Inez Sykes; and his in-laws, Eva, J. C. Stallard, Elton and Gladys Scott.
He is survived by : his wife Grace Sykes; his sons, Terry Sykes, Scott Sykes (Joy) and Steve Sykes; his stepchildren, Lynda Sorber (Bob), John Steele (Sherry), Christopher Steele (Diane) and Molly Franklin; and his pets, Frankie and Minnie. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grand-children.
