She was predeceased by: her parents, Adele "Jouiner" Burks and Carrie Bell Hawkins Burks; her sons, Michael Donell Reid and Richmond L. Reid, Jr.; and her siblings, Alsene Burks Lyles and Arthur Lee Burks.
She is survived by: her children, Dexter Brandful, Alfred Reid (Erica), Alfredia Reid and Sheila Reid; her goddaughter Linda Dublin; her pet Layla; her aunt Mary Ella Hawkins; her siblings-in-law, Geneva Burks, Frankie Thomas, Jackie Brown and Robert Reid, Jr.; and her close friends, Atlas, Shekia "Lil Bit" Eafford, Loretha Clark, Bettie Greggs, Barbara Fortson and Reverend Henry Hogan III. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
